National team - Call for applications from coaches and athletes
Management of the national team and participation in IMMAF championships
The national team is led by Tommy Depret as head national coach, Adil Harrar as coordinator for the French-speaking part, Hamid Sultanbiev for the Dutch-speaking part and Jean Philippe Carboni as representative of the refereeing commission. Their task will be to form a committee made up of technical coaches and other members of the federation to ensure an impartial selection of candidates for the international championships.
Selection of athletes :
At the start of each season, from September onwards, calls for applications will be issued. The team selected will be in place until the following season (from September to September). Any athlete wishing to join the team must apply each year.
Membership of this team does not guarantee participation in the IMMAF championships.
Criteria have been established to ensure that the most deserving are given objective priority :
- Continued affiliation to the federation: The athlete and/or his coach are responsible for keeping this affiliation up to date. An athlete who is not affiliated during the 6 months preceding the championship will not be able to take part.
- The athlete's participation in BMMAF activities and competitions: It is the responsibility of the athlete and his/her coaches/managers to give priority to BMMAF activities to ensure selection.
- Evaluation of performance and technical level of the athlete.
- Evaluation of behaviour of the athlete in and out of competition.
Responsibilities of athletes selected before the IMMAF championships :
- Athletes must complete the entry documents on time (medical forms, various IMMAF declarations). Failure to comply with this obligation may result in their non-participation without reimbursement of expenses already incurred.
- The athletes are responsible for financing their participation. The federation will set up various to help them finance their participation (percentage of tickets sold at events, sale of support T-shirts, crowdfunding, etc.).
At the IMMAF championships:
- The athlete must be punctual at agreed times by the coaches.
- The athlete must adopt a exemplary attitude throughout the competition, showing respect for coaches, opponents, support staff, etc.
- Only official BMMAF coaches are allowed in the corner. and in the warm-up and preparation areas. The coaches, training partners, family and friends are welcome as spectators during competitions.
- Only official BMMAF uniforms must be worn. It is It is forbidden to wear equipment with non-approved club logos or personal sponsors. by the national team management committee.
- Any athlete not complying with these rules may be excluded from the team without reimbursement of expenses incurred.
Coaches and support team :
- For 2023/2024, coaches are invited to fill in the form below to join the team. Candidates will then be informed of their selection by the committee.
- Only coaches affiliated to the federation can apply for this position.
- All coaches are required to respect the same rules of conduct as the athletes described above. Any breach of these rules will result in immediate expulsion.
- Only national team coaches are authorised to coach athletes at championships. Once again, coaches, training partners, family and friends are welcome as spectators at competitions.
