Coach training and certification programme
Filtered calendar: Education Coaches are the guarantors of optimal practice of any sport and quality teaching is key to the development of MMA - "Coaching the coaches" is therefore one of our priorities. In addition to the official IMMAF programme, we offer complementary training courses to help coaches provide their athletes with the ideal training.
- Technical seminars by grade or discipline (Striking, Wrestling, Grappling)
- Official IMMAF certifications (see below)
- Additional BMMAF training: Rules and point system, anti-doping awareness
- ADEL: Wada anti-doping training (eLearning) - compulsory from 2022
IMMAF programme
The IMMAF training and certification programme is designed to help coaches deepen their knowledge, acquire teaching skills and develop a solid training methodology.
Coach Level 1 (Bronze Award)
Minimum technical grade of green belt for
- Be able to confidently deliver the MMA progression programme up to Blue Belt level
- Be capable of occasionally running training sessions according to a given plan and replacing senior coaches in their absence
- Be able to classify club members up to one level below your own grade (yellow, orange)
Coach Level 2 (Silver Award)
Minimum technical grade of green belt for
- Be able to confidently apply the IMMAF progression programme up to purple belt level
- Be able to coach and develop recreational and performance athletes and offer them individual development programmes
- Be able to manage medium-term training programmes in the club Classify club members up to one level below their own grade (up to Blue)
- Be able to implement youth development programmes
Coach Level 3 (Gold Award)
The trainer must have a minimum rank of Black Belt in order to
- Be able to implement the full IMMAF progression programme with confidence
- Be able to plan and manage long-term training programmes Be able to classify club members up to brown belt level
- Be able to prepare athletes for competition in international events
- Be able to manage national team members during their performance at the international event
