Selection process and national training.
In preparation for the IMMAF European Championships to be held from 5 to 15 February in Belgrade, Serbia, the BMMAF will be organising a series of national training sessions to ensure the cohesion of the national team and to prepare the athletes taking part as well as possible.
Training sessions open to all
These national training sessions will also be open to athletes not taking part in the championships. This is to encourage their technical development, engage them with the process with a view to future participation and ensure a varied group at the training sessions. Coaches are also invited to take part in national training sessions, as long as they do not interfere with the training content.
Le training prices will be €10 per session or €50 for a pass including access to the 8 training sessions (Non-members of the federation: €20 per session / €100 for the pass, free with invitation). This money will be used to subsidise part of the athletes' participation.
Conditions of participation and selection criteria for the IMMAF championships
- Be of Belgian nationality (a specific process for refugees exists within IMMAF; for more information, contact your coach).
- Belong to a club affiliated to the federation and be affiliated to the federation.
- Attend at least 5 of the 8 national training sessions organised; any additional absences can only be justified by a medical certificate.
- Demonstrate an ethic and attitude in line with the federation's values of respect.
- Submission of medical documents, payment of participation fees and compliance with administrative procedures.
- REGISTRATION : Only coaches can nominate their athletes, so talk to your coach if you'd like to take part - they've been given all the information they need to register you.
Selection of athletes:
- Technical, physical and mental performance during national training sessions.
- Wallonia / Flanders equity (one athlete per region, maximum 2 Belgian athletes per category).
- Results at previous IMMAF championships
- If it proves difficult to decide between the candidates, fights may be organised during training sessions.
Selection Committee :
- Walloon national coaches: Islam Isaev, Gaetano Pirrello, Baysangur Arbiyev
- Flemish national coaches: Hamid Sultanbiev, Tommy Depret.
- Other members of the selection committee: Ludo Boulvin (Chairman), Charafeddine Moussa (Team admin manager) and Jean Philippe Carboni (Head referee commission).
It will be enabled the athletes' coaches to accompany their students to the championships at their own expense and in collaboration with the national coaches (only one coach authorised in the corner accompanied by a national team coach).
Le average cost of participation in IMMAF is 1500€ (participation fees, plane, hotel, etc.). The federation is doing its best to contribute to these costs in order to reduce them, and everything will be explained as transparently as possible.

Ter voorbereiding op het IMMAF Europees kampioenschap (5-15 februari, Belgrado - Servië) organiseert BMMAF een reeks nationale trainingen om het team verband te versterken en om de atleten optimaal voor te bereiden.
Open trainingen
The national training courses are open to all participants, but also to non-participants in the training programme, in order to provide technical training, to encourage the use of specific skills and to ensure that the training is relevant. Coaches are obliged to ensure that they do not undermine the training.
PrijsNiet-leden: 10€ per sessie of 50€ voor een pass (8 trainingen). Niet-leden: 20€/sessie of 100€/pass (gratis op uitnodiging). These discounts will cover the cost of the national team's name to the campsite teams.
Voorwaarden voor deelname IMMAF kampioenschappen
- Belgische nationaliteit (er bestaat een specifiek proces voor vluchtelingen via IMMAF)
- Lid zijn van een aangesloten club en federatie
- Aanwezig bij minstens 5 van de 8 nationale trainingen (extra afwezigheid kan worden aanvaard maar enkel met een medisch attest)
- Ethiek en gedrag in lijn met normen en waarden van de federatie
- Medische documenten, betaling deelnamekosten en respect voor administratieve procedures
- INSCRIJVINGEN: Enkel coaches kunnen kandidaturen indienen , voor alle informatie, neem contact op met uw coach
Selectie op basis van:
- Technische, fysieke en mentale prestaties tijdens nationale trainingen
- Gelijkheid Wallonië/Vlaanderen (één atleet per regio, max. 2 Belgen per categorie)
- Resultaten bij vorige IMMAF kampioenschappen
- Bij twijfel: mogelijke gevechten tijdens trainingen

Coaches mogen hun atleten vergezellen op eigen kosten, in samenwerking met nationale coaches (één coach toegestaan in de hoek, vergezeld door een coach van het nationale team).
Gemiddelde kostprijs deelnameThe total cost of the event is €1,500 (inschrijving, vlucht, hotel enz.). De federatie draagt maximaal bij om kosten te verlagen, alles wordt transparant uitgelegd.
